I took my Jeep in for a tune up and a full point... - shantasia99
I took my Jeep in for a tune up and a full point inspection. My check Engine light was not on when I brought the car in. I noticed when I pick it up at the end of business hours, the check engine light came on. I pulled the service person and told them, they took the car to the back and turned it off. Needless to say, it came back on and since I knew I needed to go back for some work I did not take it back or make sure it was documented. I explained when going back in for the service where I left off. Although I was trying to get other major work done, they would not waive the $250 diagnostic for the check Engine light. I should have been persistent when it occured but it also tells me what kind of place I am dealing with if I am about to get almost $2000 of work done, they still want to charge for the diagnostic in which case my check Engine light was not on before I took it to them for a tune up and the inspection cleared. I went back to Chris because I recall working with him pleasantly before but he was not welcoming and actually pulled a manager to discuss the diagnostic which they still refused to waive the diagnostic. Now I have to start over at another service place, especially after reading this and talking to a lady in the dealership that brought a new car and they had it for 2 months and was unable to fix the problem still..
