Bought a vehicle May 2022. - Rev.Joe
Bought a vehicle May 2022. The buying experience itself was great; staff was attentive and responsive. During the test-drive they identified an issue with the parking brake and assured me it would be fixed before I drove the vehicle a few days later.
The brake was not fixed—although I wouldn’t know that immediately. Within minutes of leaving the lot the seatbelt and airbag indicators turned on and dinged for 15 straight mins. It was 6:03pm when they turned on, so I couldn’t reach anyone due to them closing at 6pm. I left a message, emailed my salesman, and contacted a manager over the following week with zero reply.
I’m left to fix these issue myself to ensure that the standard safety equipment works properly in the event of a crash. I’m stunned that these basic safety issues were not addressed by the dealership before putting me on the road.
They advertised the Jeep having a soft top and floor mats. The hardtop was installed and I was assured the soft top was complete in the back of the vehicle. When I got home and unpacked the back, not only was there no hardware, but the frame pieces were broken—so no way to install the soft top without spending a few hundred dollars. No floor mats either. I contacted multiple people to inquire about this—no response as of a couple of weeks later.
Very disappointed with Twin City.
False advertising, either dishonest or incompetent service team, and no effort to even communicate guidance for how to address a dangerous vehicle by staff and management. I would look elsewhere to buy a used vehicle.
