Go over your paper work carefully.
Purchased a new F250 from them last week. First contact was via text where I confirmed the asking price was $4k over sticker which is also what was posted on their website (every dealer is charging a premium as trucks are in short supply). Agreed and move forward with a trade value request. I will say they were very accommodating and delived the truck and picked up my trade. There was no mention what so ever about a rebate in our conversations. Just purchase price and trade allowance.
After delivery I was notified by Ford that I was entitled to a personal loyalty cash offer which was valid at the time of purchase. I contacted Frederick and they told me that I received the credit for the offer. I was told they receive a list from Ford.
My mistake, I was distracted when they guy from the dealership delivered the truck and did not notice that the purchase price they had posted on their website and I had agreed to had been inflated by the cash offer with an offsetting credit at the bottom. Since I was not aware that I was entitled to an addition cash discount yet the net amount looked correct and I signed. It was a plus and minus.
Ford was not offering cash/rebates to the general public at the time of my purchase so the price on their website should be true and I have text confirmation of sticker plus 4k.
Additionally, the only information that the sales rep had on me at the time I agreed to the purchase price, which again was posted on their website, was my cell phone number. No trade in vin #, name address etc. or anything else that could identify to Frederick of the cash offer had been supplied at this point.
So in a nutshell, the net I paid was what I expected not knowing about the loyalty cash allowance Ford was offering. Frederick Ford added it into the deal and made an additional $2,500.
