'Reach out' has now become 'reach back out'. Saw it in an email yesterday.

irked
Something which not even a Four Top would do.
A Four Top is just a Top. Otherwise the group would be called The Four Four Tops.

I join your grief. Probably an Americanism. What's wrong with the word start? One syllable instead of two.

There seems to be an epidemic of “for sure” within motor racing circles.
What’s wrong with yes or definitely?

It's not 'coming home'. It wasn't 'home' in 1966! It was on fkin holiday, possibly! The '66 team did well to win it but that doesn't make England its fkin home you tts! Just fk Off! And then fk Off a bit more!
Less than eloquent, expletive laden rants are quite annoying.
Who invented football?.....

Wait I'll ask jeeves.

This is fairly clear. It started in England and we gave it to.the rest of the world to enjoy.

I quote the internet.

Football as we know it today - sometimes known as association football or soccer - began in England, with the laying down of rules by the Football Association in 1863.

I obviously ignored references to China playing a similar game 2000 years ago.

I keep seeing the word "trim" on social media referring to a haircut.

Typical examples are:

Person reposts a picture of some guy saying "some trim that is"

Or "wtf is with the trim"

I hate it so decided to look it up.

While the article does explain the etymology I think the opening has it best:

To paraphrase...

There's nothing worse that people doing that when they should know better at their age.

I would never use the word "whip" as that's what what people my dad's age called their bikes and cars back in the 1950s. I don't want to sound like an 80 year old.

“On point”
“Slaps” when something is good.
“Don’t sleep” instead of don’t hesitate when making a decision about said thing.

All the above when used by people over the age of 30 makes my anus cringe.

I'm not a huge fan of that phrase.
