Been looking at places in Spain or Italy to work remotely from for 2-3 weeks. Looked at Valencia and the weather looks stunning
Also considering torremolinos in southern Spain or maybe Sciliy
I'm sat inside freezing
What time of the year? I have a place not far from Valencia and it can get nippy there over winter, albeit daytime temps and blue skies are a welcome break to spend a month or so there. Also considering torremolinos in southern Spain or maybe Sciliy

Mum's nursing home has a cowboy themed tombola and fair this afternoon, fire eaters, people on stilts etc. Currently pouring down.
They should have booked a magician, at least they cold have made the rain disappear. Seriously though I hope your mum and the other residents enjoy it, despite the weather not playing ball.

Probably late November into December. I went last year for the marathon (December 3rd I think) and it was lovely blue skies, about 18-20 at the peak but you're right it was quite cold in the shade and morning/evening. I was looking at apartments in Italy and southern Spain. Just a pipe dream but I have an Irish passport and want to live abroad at some point

That's a shame. I had similar last year in Verona. Pure sun the week before but when we were there it rained all three days. Our lake Garda time was lovely though and very sunny

Properly depressing this “summer” is. The most bleak summer I can remember, and it’s having a literal negative affect on my mental health.
You have a short memory - it was the same last year!It was definitely raining a lot.

Had a days motorcycling yesterday. It rained most of the day, that told me that my jacket and trousers are not as waterproof as they were. Also cold.
This particular event takes place on the first weekend of July each year, it has rained for the last three years. I see a pattern emerging.

Last winter was mild and I don’t think we saw single figures over night more than a few times. But the year before it was 4-5* for a couple of weeks. Day time temps high teens when the sun gets up.
Climate is amazing here other than a few weeks in July and August, when it can hit high 30’s/40*.

I live near Marbella… we’ve had two days with significant rain since mid April… I say ‘with rain’ as one of those days it only rained hard for 20 mins then the sun came out a few hours later.

I have an Irish passport and I've wanted to move to sunnier climates for years and years. I WFH so can pretty much go where I want. My partner unfortunately has a standard office job and doesn't want to move

I retired 5 years ago and moved here…. Already owned the property. I started a little handyman business a couple of years ago to keep me busy and delay needing to dip in to savings or start taking my pension (I’m 57). My wife still has the big corporate job, so she splits her time between UK, here and the US.

I keep joking that there must be jobs for me in Marbella (hgv driver) but sadly I doubt the Mrs would move away.
