Sounds like the project going live was not an unmitigated disaster, SM.
Well done to all who helped with the successful launch. clapbow ( I do hope I'm not being premature. )
Well, day 1 was a success. Very few issues for users, and those that did rear their heads were minor and quickly fixed. And it is absolutely a testament to the core team; they have done a splendiferous job and will be rewarded accordinglyyes

Quiet day at the museum. Bits of the Beverley have started to arrive and we have laid the concrete and tarmac base ready to rebuild the aircraft when it arrives in pieces.
Most excellent, Hammo.
It's heartening to hear that the old girl will be taken good care of.
How is Spiny Norman these days?
I saw some of the dedicated team grafting away on the old crew bus on Bangers & Cash. Twice. thumbup

IOTN, After surviving my cardiac rehab workout session today, I became diverted from my intended further investigations into the recalcitrant C-Ma_ and eventually digressed into a bit of research.
Possibly subliminally influenced by Bobbers' defection from the Ford brand to Bayerische Motoren Werke products, I have launched myself into a concerted online research programme investigating their F20/ B47 offering as a possible C-Ma_ replacement.

The initial findings are showing some promise:
Food for thought... scratchchin
If it happens, I must remember to get a new TT Residents' Parking Permit. Are there any still available?

Later on we had a surprise after-school visit by Robbopoppet, Big George and their Mum, Daughter #2.

George was telling me all about his first hat-trick that he scored in his match on Sunday. His mum showed me a video of one of his goals: a fearless tackle, superb ball control and agility, a skilful strike and into the back of the net it went. YAY!!!
However, his celebratory knee slide could do with a bit of improvement! rofl

How are the batlets doing, _404?

Sounds like the project going live was not an unmitigated disaster, SM.

Spiny Norman was on the move today giving joy rides to families. Sounds and smells great.

Second rubbish night's sleep on the trot, never mind.

Well done on a smooth migration Still Mulling, it's always a worry when you have something big like that going on, but it sounds like it's been a success!!

Good luck with your search for a replacement for the C-Ma_ glenrobbo, I can highly recommend a Mini Cooper S Clubman to rattle your dentures!!!

Yeah but you have to update the BMW's sound system biggrin

Morning all, grey and wet. Will be visiting a clients site today trying to finish some work thats been outstanding for 6 months because they can't be bothered because they didn't get the work, want to delay to make us look bad, only it's all backfiring. My project manager wants to sign it off, must be getting pressured about the money and there's about 2 hours of work left that they are stalling over.

So off to site to get it finished hopefully today

I'm also trying to organise a bit more in my life, put a few more things in, as with the pending loss of living in Wales, I've been feeling quite lost, unsure of the future now it's all changed. Thought I had everything worked out.

So Festival of speed Friday, will be booking another trip to Belgium and planning some other stuff... whilst thinking a little more long term

Good luck with C-Ma_ replacement search, gr.

May I recommend a V8? I’m thinking an Italian one. A dark blue over cream 348 Spider, perhaps? Seems like a direct replacement to me smile

Is the S Max too big, glen? No.1 son has one that he regularly drives to Pluto and back. It's done him proud.

Good morning everyone.

Today in Mancumium we seem to be having ALL the rain.

Which is nice, as I'm back in my personalised chair at the BMW dealer pleading warranty status for a light that won't switch off (Morrisey, anyone?) on my GSA.

Sounds like you're doing it the right way Byker, happiness is a verb, they say, rather than a noun - doing stuff is often the answer, if only we could figure out what the question is!

Gud moaneve, all.

Here we are, then. Another wet and dismal October morning, and it's not yet the middle of July. What's going on?

Today is pleasantly free of engagements or obligations, so on the basis that I'm unlikely to dissolve, I'll go for a walk and contemplate what to do with the rest of the day. Which may involve changing my details and passwords on various internet sites (stop it!) and ultimately working towards binning my old email address, which has been receiving more than my fair share of spam in recent months.

Hey-ho.

Yesterday afternoon was taken up by car cleaning, while rain hammered down outside - my parking spaces are undercover, and apart from being rather gloomy, because the lights only work on a timer, it was a pleasant way to pass the time. I might do some more to it this afternoon, although that might be a waste of time as I need to go out tomorrow for a near-lowering, so I expect to come home with bits of the New Forest stuck to the paitwork.

Moustache, it's not actually raining at the moment. Although I suspect that we're in-between deluges...

I specifically told you to sleep well, young Bobbers.
How dare you disobey my instructions! irked

Thankyou for your recommendation, but I don't have enough Fixodent to enable me to pilot a BMW Clubman, therefore I am considering the F20 model with the B47 engine because it sounds cool. cool

My dear SM, there are quite a few Fairfields dotted about the country, such as in or around Rochdale, Thirsk or York, but none of them host a RIAT.

You'd be better advised heading further down the country to Gloucestershireshyre to RAF Fairford where I believe a small air show will be taking place this coming weekend.

Daughter #2, Son-in-Law, Robbopoppet and Big George will be going camping there for the weekend. I need to dig out some of my old ear defenders for them before they set off.
Fingers crossed that Summer decides to buck up a bit.

Yep, that's the place!

It'll be my first RIAT, so I'm quite excited. smile
