Had a days motorcycling yesterday. It rained most of the day, that told me that my jacket and trousers are not as waterproof as they were. Also cold.

This particular event takes place on the first weekend of July each year, it has rained for the last three years. I see a pattern emerging.
Brave.
We were going to the Beaulieu Bikers’ Day yesterday...100 or so miles but chickened out. Although we lost money on the tickets I think we made the right decision. It was horrendous in the morning!

Down in Berkshire it's extremely heavy rain. Started about 20 minutes ago and really coming down hard now. Also very very dark and overcast.

Miserable stuff

That doesn’t help me. 1000 kids out of school all week on various outdoor activities and it’s pissing it down nearly every day!

Have some bushes to trim right back to allow some scaffold to go up tomorrow. Get branch trimmer out of garage and set up, heavens open. Put it away. Rain stops. Get it out again, same thing happens again only this time I trap my finger in garage door due to hurrying to stay dry.

stty bd weather.

Cricket festival at the club today. You need 3 outfits. Absolutely pissed it down a couple of times. Then the sun is out and feels like I need sunscreen. Then it clouds over and its cold.

We had a slightly difference experience last night in Newcastle….we planned a BBQ for a family get-together to celebrate my wife’s 50th thinking July would be a fairly safe bet. I spent the evening under an awning in torrential rain with a Weber gas BBQ as we were determined not to let the weather spoil our plans. Utterly miserable.

Driving the length of the country today. Left a sunny Aberdeenshire this morning, and had on / off rain through England. Was 19 degs on M6 toll, plummeted to 13 an hour later in Oxford where I met torrential rain that was flooding the motorway. Now blue skies again! Summer indeed! Let’s see what the last leg brings.

Just had a small thunderstorm and hail here in WGC. I love a storm. At least it’s interesting and something to watch. A very varied day today.

Context is everything - I assume she said autumnal, unless she is looking forward to Autumn? wink
