As we have dealt with 'whip' I will just add 'ride' to mean a car. You ride in a car, the car is not the ride!
Otherwise it sounds like an Irish girl using it to mean a bloke she fancies.

"Rock up"

It's right up there with the PH regulars of "Shirley" (instead of surely) and "call out" which has now replaced 'challenge' in the dictionary, apparently.

...worse again still when used by large conglomerates, in adverts, such as banks, Amazon, McD and similar faceless organisations
